Search for UW president costly SEATTLE (AP) — The search for a new presi dent at the l Diversity of Washington has cost near ly $100,000 in state funds, records show The university had already spent S51.507 by Marc h, which does not include the $45,000 the school will pay its second seen h c onsultant The search, entering its sec ond year this week, was restarted last month after the leading candi date accepted another university presidency An lH-memher search committee is expet ted to con tinue look mg through the summer Most of the money paid so far went to the l ’W s first consulting firm.
