Cause The two stars definitely made the movie. Out ?r ey wc'e drive' by an interesting plot and strong acting by co-stars B air Underwood and Ed Hams At first g!ance JustC.iuse 'oo*s ‘<e another movie about a wrongly accused man who s proved innocent, and justice <s served Blair Underwood p ays the wrongly ,k c ;sed man Bobby Ear*, and Sean Connery plays the attorney Paul Armstrong, who proves r m .nnocent Upon further inspection, however. Just Cause reveas a twisted under bey o» rever-ge r f deception I won't spo-t <t by giving away the twists, but I will say that everything yo,; th v is happening in the first hour Of the movie changes ■ an mstant and unexpected way The basic plot of the movie is that Bobby Ear! (Underwood) is wrongly accused of the b'utai mur der of an eleven year old girl m a smair F tonda town Tanny Brown (Fishbume) coer< es Bobby Earl mto a confession by shewing a pistol m his mouth and playing Russian roulette with turn Bobby Earl is sentenced to death After years on death row he sends his grandmother to enlist the aid ot Paul Armstrong (Connery), a pron ; Har vard law professor and vehement opponent of the death penalty Booby f art tet's Armsto' g " at another death row inmate >s the one who realty murdered the little girl m his home town That other inmate is Biair Sullivan, played by Ed Harris (The Abyss) Sullivan apparently went on a Mickey and Maiiory Knox-esque ntting spree across the South before getting caught in F londa Sullivan is the kind ot thoughtful psychopath who whiles away the hours in prison by writing litters to the famines ot his victims about what it was tike to kill their loved ones Harris plays trie part very we Sure. Blair Sullivan is no Hannibal Lector, but then r agasn. Ed Hams s no Anthony Hopfans The most impressive performance *n the him is Undo-wood s portray;*! ot Bobby Far!
