I 1 an't help feeling a sense of shame As a Jew and a sup porter of the state of Israel. I feel disgusted, depressed and dread fully sorry about the news that an Americ an-horn Jewish Israeli "settlor'" (occupier) opened fire on praying Palestinians yosler dav. killing up to 40 and wound ing more than tot) in tux cut peo pie IV) 1 feel personally guilty' Of c ourse not lust because one insane gunman halfway ac ross the world who happens to he lewish butt hers m cold blood dozens of Muslims while they knelt in prayer in their mosque does not unpin ate every |eyy worldwide, needless to say I he guilt of that bloodshed lies sole ly on the shoulders of the man who pulled the trigger \ et while I justly feel no per sonai guilt. I cannot help feeling a sense of i ommunal shame I lav ing t>een raised on the history of my own people's persecution, having lieen raised on the stories of my own family's destruc turn in the Jewish holocaust, having been raised upon traditional tenets of Jewish morality and the ethical spirit of Rabbi Hillel.
