"I didn't know what to ex

Kofler works with th«* seven
Duck quarterbacks, and par

name "Legendary" from the
other GAs.
Gregory played college foot

then spent the 1987 season
coaching at Division 111 Wash

part-time pay" before coming
to Oregon
Gregory runs the offensive

"But I've put the thesis on
hold (during the fall) I pull it
out and work on it when I
find time, but I also have to
take care of other stuff, and
pay bills and do laundry,"
Maday said.
Whittle, the "old man" of
the group at 31, played at
Michigan State before return

coming to Oregon to help de

During the week, the GAs

der to draw up plays for the
scout team to run at practice.
Afternoons are devoted to
practice, where the GAs work
with players individually dur

team, which is made up of
younger players who run the
upcoming opponent's offense
and defense.
The (’.As evenings include
coaching staff meetings and
more film watching. Their
typical day begins at 8 a m.
and often ends at 9 or 10 p.m.
or later.
Goach Brooks, himself a for
