"There are a lot of people in terested in business." he added. The library has a business section with general informa tion on products produced, names and addresses of com pany officers, whether a com pany is still in existence and where they would be located for purchases or repairs on both older and new products. McCar thy said The program also will go to areas on the outskirts of the city limits, McCarthy added. "The person who takes the books to the elderly individual often selects the material for that particular individual." he said. “The service adds a human element to the library pro grams." he added. The library will assist people in geneology as well, McCarthy said. “The reference section offers information on patron's family history," he added. The library has access to many government documents It has a decent sized” phonabook collection which is ‘‘heavily used,” he said. The collection covers cities "from Ames, Iowa to Yakima Valley, Wash.,” he said. The library operates an interlibrary loan service offering books ‘‘from almost any library in the coun try.” McCarthy said. "If necessary we can also get books from foreign coun tries." he added. ‘‘Last year we received an i n - terlibrary loan request from Leningrad, Russia,” McCarthy said with disbelief.
