and Thursday. I am very
grateful to all of you and am
looking forward to serving you
during the next two years.

Diversity
The University is a place
where diversity and in
dividualism are actively en
couraged among all students
and not a select few. The list of
programs funded by incidental
fees reflects this diversity.
I find it encouraging to see
programs as diverse as MKChA.
Jewish Student Union, and
('.ALA all being funded in a fair
and equal manner. Unfortunate
ly, this could all change if the
Concerned Students for Respon
sive Leadership have their way.
The ('SRI, platform is notably
deficient in its support for
minority students and their
needs. Should we. as some of
the CSRL candidates have sug
gested, fund only those groups

Ballot Measure 5 calls for
preserving the playing field
at the south bank site and
recommends constructing
the research park in another
location. The Emerald
