DESCRIPTION: Linear programming
(LP) has important applications in
economics and management service.
This course will be a har.ds-on
introouction to this technique. We
will use the computer center's EEC
1091 anc the software package LINDO
to work with a number of LP models.
The orientation of the course is
entirely practical, focused on
problem solving. The first week of
class will be devoted to computer
orientation. After that, we well
uiscuss problems. Students will do
final project for their final
grade. No exams, graded only.
COMMENTS: No knowledge of comfuters
is required. Students will,
however, need to schedule 6-0 hours
a week to formulate and solve
problems or. DEC 1091. Class size
will be small so that I can give
individual attention to each person.
