In brief Political forum planned The First Annual University Great Pumpkin Letter Writing Festival will t>e held Sunday from 3 to 7 p.in. in the FMU Forum Room. The event, sponsored by the Survival Center, is designed to promote the importance of public awareness on political issues. All materials for a complete letter. Including postage, are provided. Interested community members art; en couraged to drop by with any issue in mind, but representatives from various student groups, such as the Oregon Student Public Interest Research Group and the War Resistance and Draft Information Center, will have specific informa tion available, including key topics and lists of possible contacts. Benefit concert set A concert to benefit the Teamsters Focal ti7t) Union will be held Saturday from 7 to 11 p in. at 1230 Kincaid St. Performing at the concert are bands in chiding Saridunga, a Latin band; Eagle Park Slim, a blues band; and Orandell fc Bartels, playing the acoustic guitar. In addition to music and dancing, skits, refreshments, door prizes and speeches are planned.
