Carlhian. a member of the na
tion’s oldest architectural firm
in Boston will give the fourth
lecture in the series. ■‘Tradition
and Vitality: Architecture and
Planning in Boston."
Carlhian will draw upon his
experience on the Back Hay
Commission and the Boston
landmarks Commission for tho
talk. "Preserving What, Whore
and How: Boston’s Back Bay —
A Casa Study."
Carlhian, who was educated
in France, also served as a con
sultant on the Krench-Ameriean
Committee for the Restoration
of the Statue of Liberty.
The lecture series is funded in
part by the Oregon Committee
for the Humanities, which is an
affiliate of the National Endow
ment fur the Humanities, and by
the Stafford Fund.
