The “Put the People First” rally will be held at noon at the Court Street entrance of the Capitol. Speakers will include state Sen. The Oregon. Student Lobby board of directors will meet Saturday to hear a staff report on its top legislative priority this year — Gov. Vic Atiyeh’s recommended 1985-87 budget and tax relief package. Atiyeh’s budget is of par ticular interest to the OSL this year because it does not include a tuition freeze, said Rebecca Roby, ASUO state affairs coordinator. At the same meeting, Sen. Margie Hendriksen will make a presentation to the board on tax structure in the state of Oregon. Her report will focus on the general “climate of the sales tax” and how it relates to higher education, Roby said. The board will also hear a staff report on the feasibility of allowing student access to teacher evaluations. The University Senate approved a Student Advisory Board motion Wednesday to form an ad-hoc committee to study the student access issue. Today, the board is “more in favor” of allowing student access to the evalua tions than they were in the past, Roby said.
