Theta Chi 6-18 Oregon defeats Portland State The Oregon volleyball team defeated the Portland State University Vikings in four games, 17-15, 13-15, 15-7 and 15-8 Tuesday night at McArthur Court. With the win, the Ducks broke the Vikings' 21-match win streak. The PSU match concluded the regular season for the Ducks. Oregon finished the season with a 26-11 record. The Ducks must w’ait for a call Sun day from the NCAA selection committe on a possible invita tion to the national playoff tournament. More awards Oregon linebacker Bob Hudetz won the Elmer Sahlstrom Award at the football banquet at the Valley River Inn Monday night. The award is given to the senior with the highest academic average for the past year. Hudetz also was an honorable mention selection to the All-Pac-10 team. Offensive lineman Steve Jen son won the Bob Officer award. This award is given to the player who has made major con tributions despite physical adversity. Three Ducks will be playing in postseason all-star games. Tight end Doug Herman will participate in the Japan Bowl, defenisive end Dale Doming was invited to the Senior Bowl and Wendell Cason will play in the Hula Bowl. EARN WHILE YOU SKI!
