Snyder

projects.
“Students need to unionise,”
he says. Snyder says the
seasonal nature of university
study, as well as the economic
standing of students in general,
makes creditors wary of con
sidering young academics for
loans. “You (students) don’t ex
ist again until fall,” he says.
As well as needing low-cost
financing, Snyder says students
desperately need inexpensive
travel arrangements and health
insurance, which would help
eliminate the “excess fretting of
getting injured or ill.”
But such plans will have to
wait. For now, Snyder’s center
of attention will be expanding
USSA. And after that goal is ac
complished, Snyder says the
duties of a student await him.
"I’m not going to throw four
years of education down the
tubes.” he says with a smile. "I
may go on and get that piece of
paper and shock my mother.”
Snyder will remain active in
USSA after the trip is com
pleted. he says, as the organiza
tion’s second-year veterans
caucus and regional represen
tative on the USSA board of
directors. Board members are
required to attend three other
USSA meetings throughout the
coming year. Snyder will also
be developing programs
relating to veteran’s needs as
students, he says.
Road Warrior to appear
on lawn this evening
Attention film lovers,
punkers, hackers, etc. Due to its
success at the box offices of ma
jor theatres. “Repo Man,”
which was scheduled to be
shown on campus tonight, has
been yanked from 16mm
distribution to colleges and
similar organizations.
Hence, "The Road Warrior”
will be shown in its place. The
film will be shown on the EMU
lawn at 9 p.m. In case of rain,
the showing will take place
indoors.
The EMU Cultural Forum is
sponsoring the screening.
