As well as needing low-cost financing, Snyder says students desperately need inexpensive travel arrangements and health insurance, which would help eliminate the “excess fretting of getting injured or ill.” But such plans will have to wait. For now, Snyder’s center of attention will be expanding USSA. And after that goal is ac complished, Snyder says the duties of a student await him. "I may go on and get that piece of paper and shock my mother.” Snyder will remain active in USSA after the trip is com pleted. he says, as the organiza tion’s second-year veterans caucus and regional represen tative on the USSA board of directors. Board members are required to attend three other USSA meetings throughout the coming year. Snyder will also be developing programs relating to veteran’s needs as students, he says.
