Curtain time for all shows is 8 p.m. Terry's plays have generated ex citement throughout the modern theater in the '70s and '80s. She is an acclaimed director and writer who was introduced from off-off Broadway at the famous "open theater" and "Cafe La Mama." The play contains many plots; the main one concerns a lawyer who has her husband murdered after coaxing her best friend to hire the murderer. The murderer turns state's evidence against the two women and they all end up in the same jail cell together. The play was written originally for three men, but the roles in this production will be played by women and there will be a dif ferent cast each night. The cast performing Dec. 8 con sists of Lisa Shulman, Sinclair Adams and Patricia Matteri; Dec. 9: Marcia Cutler, Karuma Evans and Harner Star; and Dec. 10: Dinah Urell, Marsha Cutler and Kitty Johnston. The play is directed by Bob Man ning. Other sponsors include the University's EMU Cultural Forum, Black Student Union and Mecha. The plays are part of a new course on campus called "Produc tions in Ethnic Theater." The ob jective of the class is to study playwrights and cultural plays and then present the plays to the University and Eugene com munities. Holiday carolers to sing Several special holiday concerts are scheduled for the coming week in the music school. The University Brass Choir will give a holiday concert Friday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. in Beall Concert Hall. Directed by Edward Kammerer, the group will be joined by the University Trombone Choir, directed by )eff Williams, and will perform 'a variety of both Christmas and non-Christmas music. The concert is free. Saturday, Dec. 10, the McKenzie String Quartet, formerly known as the Graduate String Quartet, will present its first concert of the year at 8 p.m. in Beall Hall. There is no admission charge. The quartet is a newly formed ensemble established co operatively by the music school and the tugene Symphony. All members of the quartet are enroll ed in graduate music degree pro grams and participate in the University's and Eugene's sym phony orchestras. Violinists Michelle Pauly, Lisa Bieber and Walter Auer and cellist Dale Bradley will perform several pieces, including Mozart's Quartet in C Major, K. 387 and Borodin's Quartet No. 2 in D Major. The University Children's Choir will present a holidav concert Sun day, Dec. 11, at 4 p.m. in Beall Concert Hall. Admission is $1 and tickets are available at the door or at McDonald's Frame Shop, l\0v Musical Offering and Lights Music, Inc. The Children's Choir is compris ed of two ensembles. The 64-member Performance Choir, directed by Randall Moore and Cynthia Clague, consists of children ages 8 to 15 years old.
