From tickets to Tel-lnfo to tobacco, here is a list
of what you can do there:
•Buy a variety of items, including popcorn,
postage stamps, newspapers, magazines, candy,
cookies and cards.
•Buy concert tickets, theater tickets, Hult Center
tickets.
•Buy Greyhound, Trailways and Oregon Coast
Lines tickets.
•Place an ad with the Emerald.
•Cash a check for up to $10.15 — including the 15
cent service charge.
•Pay utility bills.
•Get film developed.
•Buy Lane Transit District bus tokens and passes.
•Sign out keys to rooms like the Piano Room.
•Get a vending machine refund.
•Buy International Student Identification cards.
•Buy Youth Hostel cards.
•Visit the occasional vendors nearby, selling
Mexican coats, pottery, famous prints, etc.
•Call the desk's Tel-lnfo number, at 686-4636, to
hear tapes that will answer your questions on just
about anything related to the University.

Oct. 18 - Physical Development & Aging Nov. 8 - Life Style Management
Each lecture begins at 12:15 at the Eugene Hotel Retirement Center and
will be approximately 40 minutes in duration. A 75* donation is asked and
the resources collected will be given to the President’s Scholarship Fund.

MICRO COMPUTERS FOR EARLY BIRDS
These early morning courses (non-credit) introduce business people and
professionals to microcomputer developments. The four week sessions
provide an orientation to both hardware (IBM PC) and assorted software
how they work, who is using them and what they do. Guest lectures on
Lotus 1, 2, 3; Perfect Writer and communications software are scheduled.
Fee is $25, meets Tue./Thur. 7-7:45 a.m. in Gilbert Hall on campus.

The class will be offered three times during fall term:

November 22 through December 15
A REGULAR CREDIT CLASS
‘THE HISTORY OF JAZZ”
This class, Mus 355, is available to all University students and the
surrounding community. The course is a survey of Jazz covering all
periods from turn of the century to present. It analyzes the music of such
greats as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Wbodie Herman, Charlie Parker
and Miles Davis. Trends in vocal jazz are also discussed; primarily a
listening course. Instructor: Steve Stone. Registration will be available at
the first class meeting, September 26. The class meets from 12:00 to 1:30
every Monday and Wednesday in the Eugene Hotel Retirement Center.
