MICRO COMPUTERS FOR EARLY BIRDS These early morning courses (non-credit) introduce business people and professionals to microcomputer developments. The four week sessions provide an orientation to both hardware (IBM PC) and assorted software how they work, who is using them and what they do. Guest lectures on Lotus 1, 2, 3; Perfect Writer and communications software are scheduled. Fee is $25, meets Tue./Thur. 7-7:45 a.m. in Gilbert Hall on campus. Instructor: R. Trebon. The class will be offered three times during fall term: September 27 through October 20 October 25 through November 17 November 22 through December 15 A REGULAR CREDIT CLASS ‘THE HISTORY OF JAZZ” This class, Mus 355, is available to all University students and the surrounding community. The course is a survey of Jazz covering all periods from turn of the century to present. It analyzes the music of such greats as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Wbodie Herman, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis. Trends in vocal jazz are also discussed; primarily a listening course.
