Free concerts and easy listening Jazz, classical music performed at Eugene Mall r-ree public performances begin this month on the Eugene Downtown Mail and in several of the city's parks. Showcase on the Mall, a weekly summer enter tainment series on the downtown mall, features per formers and musicians at noon. Classical music will be featured on Mondays, a potpourri of musical entertainment and perfor mances on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, jazz on Thursdays, and performances for children on Fridays. Summer Supper Concerts in the Parks features classical, jazz, blue grass and reggae on Sunday, Mondays and Wednesdays during the early evening hours in several city parks. Performances have already begun at Skinner Butte Park. They will begin June 26 at Monroe Park, June 30 at Amazon Park, Ju ly 11 at Westmoreland Park, July 13 at University Park and July 17 at Washburne Park. Summer Showcase on the Mall and Summer Supper Concerts in the Parks are sponsored by the Eugene Parks and Recreation Department with room tax funds.
