All day Friday parents will be welcomed in their children’s classes and lectures — although they have the option of not taking any midterms that might be scheduled. The weekend schedule includes: FRIDAY: All Day — Parent’s welcome to attend classes. A list of recommended classes will be available. Noon — Parent’s Registration Tickets and other information will be available until 5 p.m. in Susan Campbell Mall, i 1 1 4:00 — Beer Garden The EMU and the Cultural Forum will spon sor a beer garden at the tennis courts, 16th Avenue and Agate Street. 5:30 — Canoe Fete on the Mill Race A floating parade with a theme of “Cities of the World” will begin at Franklin Boulevard across from Lawrence Hall. Winner of the Mystery Duck contest will be announced. 7:00 — Parent’s Faculty Reception A wine and cheese reception will be held in Gerlinger Alumni Lounge with University Pres. Paul Olum. 8:00 — Dougherty Dance Theater The performance will be held in Gerlinger Annex. Cost is $3 for adults, $2 for students. 8:00 — “Look Back in Anger” The performance will be held in the Arena Theatre, Villard Hall. Admission is $2. SATURDAY: 8:00 — Undergraduate Art Show Paintings, drawings and sculpture will be on display in the EMU, Room 167. 8:00 — Special Olympics Events will run until 3 p.m. at Hayward Field 9:00 — Parent’s Registration Tickets and other information will be available until Noon in the EMU Foyer. 9:30 — Parent's Association General Meeting The meeting will be held in the EMU, Dad's Room. 10:00 — "Day on the Green" A carnival will be held throughout the day at the corner of 15th Avenue and Agate Street, near several of the dorms. 10:15 — Faculty Lectures A choice of two faculty lectures is being offered. Robert Kime, a health education professor, will present “Stress and the College Environ ment," in the EMU, Room 215. Ed Whitelaw, an economics professor, will present “Economic Recovery: How Soon? How Good?" in the EMU, Dad’s Room. 11:00 — Faculty Lectures A choice of three faculty lectures is being offered. Sam Baker and William Byrne from the athletic department will present “Rebuilding Tradition and Spirit at the UO” in the EMU, Forum Room. Grant McKernie, a theater arts professor, will present “Life in the Theater," in the EMU, Room 215. Provost Richard Hill will present “Quality Education and the Future of the University,” in the EMU, Dad's Room. Noon —Spring Awards Luncheon An all campus awards ceremony will be held in the EMU Ballroom. 1:30 —Casino Days and Auction for Muscular Dystrophy The event will be held at the Sigma Phi Ep silon fraternity house, 1000 Alder. 2:00 —High Technology Overview An overview of high technology and its im pact on the University will be presented in the EMU, Dad's Room. 3:00 —Museum of Art Tour 4:00 —Museum of Natural History Tour 4:30 —"Day on the Green" Barbeque The barbeque will be held after a carnival at the corner of 15th Avenue and Agate Street. Cost is $4.50 per person. 530 —Twighlight Co-ed Track Meet World class athletes will compete in field events, which begin at 5:30 p.m., and running events, which begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. 8:00 —Dougherty Dance Theater The performance will be held in Gerlinger Annex.
