Matmen meet Aggies in last home match The Oregon wrestling team will close out its 1982-83 home season tonight when the Ducks host No. 16-ranked Utah State in a dual meet beginning at 7:30 at McArthur Court The meet also marks the final home appearance for Oregon seniors Mike Erb, Miles Hancock, Jim Hildebrand and Dan Cook. Erb, who wrestles at 118 pounds, is a two-time Pac-10 champion in his weight He is currently leads the Ducks with 27 wins this season — nine via the pin route — and has amassed 64 victories overall in his four-year stay at Oregon. Hancock, at 126 pounds, finished third in last year’s Pac-10 championships and is second on the Oregon team victory list this season with 25 wins. Hildebrand, who is wrestling at 150 pounds, is a fifth-year senior who just joined the Duck squad last month after sitting out three seasons with various injuries. He did capture fourth place as a freshman in the Pac-10 championships but since then has been felled by various injuries. He is 9-2-1 this season. Cook, the Duck heavyweight the past four years, is from Churchill High School He won the heavyweight championship at the Pac-10 meet last year but has been hampered by injuries this season. He currently ranks second on the all-time Duck pin list with 38 and has a career mark of 83-22-1. “They are definitely the stable part of our program,” said Duck coach Ron Finley of his seniors. “It's like having four assistant coaches everyday in practice.” The Ducks, 7-10 on the season, will be out for their fourth win at McArthur Court this season against three defeats when Utah State come calling Utah State is 14-4 this season, but the Ducks have not lost to the Aggies in four previous meet ings MEETINGS Find out how you can atudy Architecture In Copenhagen.
