In the absence of 150-pound starter Rick O’Shea, who was felled by an injured knee a cou ple of weeks ago, Hildebrand has stepped in and performed admirably for the Ducks. Hilde brand raised his season record to 2-0 with his victory against Portland State “He (Hildebrand) has to get in better shape but I really ap preciate his efforts," said Oregon wrestling coach Ron Finley. "Jimmy has been in and out of school for a couple of years for various reasons. He has had a lot of injuries. It is vital that we have Hildebrand in the lineup while O’Shea is out " The match started off on the wrong foot for the Ducks as Oregon's 118-pounder Mike Erb dropped a 7-6 decision to Port land State’s Anthony Arnado Mike Erb is in control of Portland State's Anthony Amado here, but the Viking was able to turn the match around with a two-point take down in the last six seconds to win the match 7-6 At 126 pounds. Miles Han cock won the first of four Duck wins in a row as he pinned Todd Davis in 4:49. Tim Curtiss, Lo renzo West and Hildebrand each won matches at 134, 142 and 150 pounds before Portland State recorded its second vic tory of the match. With the team score standing at 16-3 in favor of Oregon, Port land State's Lloyd Hygelund beat Oregon's Zane Kesey. But at 167 pounds, Oregon's James Terry sealed the Duck win with a victory over Slade Kitchens 10-2 to make the score 20-6.
