Wrong figures ran
in grocery survey
A number of the figures pub
lished in the food price compa
rison chart in the Emerald's Fall
Orientation Issue were in error
McKays supermarket was not
the highest priced market in the
survey. A head of lettuce which
was reported as selling for 69
cents at McKays actually sells
for 59 cents, while the price
quoted for peanut butter at
■ a
McKays was for a 48-ounce jar,
not a 36-ounce jar, the size used
in the survey for the other
markets
Also, the Emerald failed to
mention that McKay's offers 75
cents worth of S&H Green
Stamps for every $30 of food
purchased Finally, the grade of
eggs compared in the survey
were not mentioned

"In America today, it's all

doesn't do anything tor the

Helen Noreen Mehan, a Denton,
Texas, "oriental dance artist,"
who traveled to a recent belly
dance convention in Seattle
called "Fantasia "
About 200 women from as far
away as Alaska and Colombia,
South America, came to the
dancing fete to step out, dress
up and talk shop
Wearing a red fez, Ralph
Mosley, 53, of Seattle, who with
his wife, Mary, publishes a belly
dance periodical called
' Fantasia" and organized the
convention, said a poll a couple
of years ago indicted there were
1.2 million belly dancers in the
United States and Canada
"It's make-believe," he said
It's a fantasy religion for
some,” a dream world of
Persian palaces, intoxicating
scents, deep pillows, midnights
at the oasis
Mary "Fayza" Mosley said,
"You have to be glamorous and

agreed, take some ribbing
