The origin of sandwiches is not well
known There is no truth to the rumor
that this American favorite was named
after a gambling nobleman named
Sandwich who couldn't leave his cards
long enough to pick up a knife and fork
New evidence recently found near
Beverly Hills points out that nomads
about 1000 BC used to go to wars over
sandwich recipes
Some fascinating carvings on the
walls of their mansions have been dis
covered that document that sandwiches
were the mam food staple in those early
days
Alexander the Great s armies lived on
rations of sandwiches while conquering
Asia Minor
Rumors are that Anthony fell for
Cleopatra over a late-night sandwich
she made for him in pocket bread
Marco Polo brought back the first
sandwich with him from China A gift of
good will from the Great Kublai Khan It
still looked like a sandwich after a 3-year

Burgers are as enigmatic as apple pie
They come in all different sizes and
shapes Some are mass produced and
kept warm for instant heartburn Some
are tampered with and called “choice

There are burgers big and thin and
some are small and tat Burgers that are
