Several of the groups slated to play have played Autzen Stadium before Last year the concert drew 36.000 people The British band Foreigner, on a national tour, headlines the five-act bill that ranges from heavy to middle-weight rock. The "middle-of-the-road rock” band, known for such hits as “Urgent". "Jukebox Hero" and "Waiting for a Girl Like You," will arrive in Eugene after a performance in Seattle Dou ble Tee Promotions, Inc., the promoters of the "Jam," call Foreigner the most popular band in the United States Also on the bill: Loverboy, a group from Van couver, British Columbia, will repeat as performers, having played the "Jam” last year Loverboy has had widespread success in the last two years with two popular albums Songs like "The Kid is Hot Tonite" and “Working for the Weekend" have brought them extensive recognition. Blue Oyster Cult, an East Coast band, will be coming to the "Jam" for the third year in a row They have been widely recognized for a long time with hits like "Don’t Fear the Reaper" and recently "Bumin' for You" and “Godzilla.” Joan Jett, backed by the Blackhearts, has only lately become a rock success Jett, a dynamic rocker who started with the legendary Runaways, has climbed to the top of the charts in Britain and this country with songs like "I Love Rock and Roll" and "Crimson and Clover" Jett and company are veterans of the midwest rock circuit The opening act will be the British group Taxxi, The band is just now making inroads in the rock charts with songs like “Girl (New York City)" and "Cocktail Queen."
