Summer orientation for freshmen Program acquaints students with campus An early orientation program in July will give entering fresh men opportunities for personal academic advising and early registration for fall term classes Each of the five Early Orien tation and Registration Pro grams has a limited number of spaces, says Gregg Lobisser, orientation director. Early sub mission of the registration form can help students reserve space at the session they prefer, he says EORP offers participants a choice of three detailed evening and day introductions to the University and two condensed day-only orientations The evening-day programs are scheduled for July 18-19, July 25-26 and July 29-30. The dates for the day-only programs are July 24 and July 31, both Satur days. The reservation deadline for all EORP sessions is June 30 The summer programs are designed for entering freshmen and freshmen transfer students with 44 or fewer hours of college credit as well as their parents. Both program options offer students an introduction to the University’s curriculum, small group academic advising work shops, individual meetings with a faculty adviser and registra tion for fall term classes During the longer orienta tions. students also may par ticipate in sessions on studying, housing options, college writ ing, career perspectives, finan cial aid and the Eugene area and the University campus.
