Annual library round-up starts The University Library is dusting off its records and rounding up library books from faculty, doctoral students and law students "Every February we have these people bring in books to make certain that the professors do indeed have the books they say they have, we also check the physical condition of the book," says Shirien Stevens, director of circulation at the library The library holds the yearly "round-up" in order to check on books borrowed during the year The "inac tive" users, a term used for faculty and doctoral students, may borrow a book for two weeks If the book hasn't been requested, the inactive user may keep it until the book is requested Because of this, Stevens says yearly checks have to be made But books recently borrowed may not be needed yet “Anything checked out in '82 is okay,'' Stevens says "I would encourage people to return the books as soon as possible,'' she says Stevens says it will save everyone money if more people are aware of deadlines The roundup clerk is located in the circulation department of the Main Library.
