The conference theme is “Is sues of the 80s: Minority Con cerns in a Conservative Era." Held annually at a Willamette Valley college or university, the conference is an opportunity for all interested in minority affairs to discuss a broad range of racial minority issues and con cerns, says Colleen Fong, University equal education briefs SPEAKERS “Ending Karma and Reincarnation" will be discussed tonight at 8 p.m in Century Room A, EMU. This year, the conference will be held in conjunction with a statewide Asian American student confer ence and meetings of other minority student groups. Suggested topics for the con ference include racism and sexism, minorities and health care, racial harassment in the 80s, rebuilding the student movement in the 80s and min ority student recruitment and retention. He has been the director of staff development for many businesses, and is the author of articles on "Survival Personality". His presentation is practical and exciting, and the topics will cover positive attitudes, confronting conflict in business, how to maintain a positive attitude in a negative situation, and how to turn conflict into opportunity.
