DOSEQUB THE UNCOMMON IMPOOT Amber and Special Lager fee* * Photo festival offers classes Upper Valley Arts of Leaven worth, WA, a non-profit orga nization founded in 1977 to promote and encourage the arts, announces its Pho tography Festival ’81 series of summer photographic work shops and seminars. Included in the summer schedule is a wildflower pho tography workshop on June 5 and 6. The workshop will take place in the foothills of the Cascade Range where wild flowers abound. The workshop fee of $105 includes meals and overnight accommodations at Coppernotch Lodge. Other courses include a pho to-journalism workshop which will explore all aspects of creat ing a photo story or essay — from the conceptual stage to layout. This workshop is scheduled for June 20 and 21, and will also be held at Copper notch Lodge. The fee is $105 and includes meals and lodg ing. Freelance photographer Doug Wilson will assist students in preparing a photo layout in either newspaper or magazine style. Additional workshops in clude: "An Experience in Awe,” photographing the infinitesimal through a microscope and the astronomical through a teles cope; “Collecting Photographs for Love and Money,” a one-day seminar devoted to the collec tion, preservation and en joyment of 19th and 20th Cen tury photographs; and "An Artist’s View of Nature," a week-long workshop of alpine photography.
