Program lets state accountants display wealth of knowledge An accounting department program that brings state accountants to campus twice yearly continues today with the visit of a Eugene ac countant. John Gregor, president of Gregor Mason McCracken, will meet with accounting and non accounting majors in his first of five days as a “Partner-In-Residence.” Gregor will give three workshop-type semin ars, visit classes and hold office hours. Only invited accounting majors may attend the semin ars, says accounting Prof. Marinus Bouwman. Gregor’s office hours are open to anyone inter ested in accounting. A 1956 graduate of the University's business college, Gregor worked as a Portland accountant, U S. Army auditor and Eugene staff accountant before founding the Eugene public accounting firm in 1963. Gregor’s seminars will focus on municipal auditing and government compliance. About 15 students can attend each seminar — only ‘ top’’ accounting students are selected, Bouwman says. Gregor does not have office hours until his April 21 visit, when he will be available in Room 361 Gilbert Hall from 11-11:45 a m. and 3-3:30 p.m. A detailed schedule of Gregor’s visit is posted in the display case across from Room 271 Gilbert Hall. And it's full of those special gifts that once made it a legend: Apples, raspberries, raisins, sunflower seeds... even little cups of yogurt. Once found everywhere, the Yogonut tree dropped out of sight due largely to a public preference for factory food in the 1950's. This trend has reversed itself, however. A campus spokesperson announced that the trees have been brought on to campus for the good of all. Now it's easy to protect the Yogonut tree. And good tasting too. Because all the natural things from the Yogonut tree are packed into the Yogonut™ bar. Which is packed in stores everywhere. So enjoy the Yogonut bar. And protect Remember: Take care off it, and it'll take care off you. WKDAYS FAME 7:15 HAIR 9:35 SAT.
