sports Wrestlers gain revenge, 48-2 Looking for revenge in the Midwest, Oregon’s wrestling team found it Wednesday night when the Ducks destroyed Mankato State, 48-2. Coming off an embarrassing 35-3 loss to number-one ranked Iowa State, the Ducks earned a much-needed win that puts them back on the winning track. "T think the guys were upset about last night and wanted to take it out on somebody. Unfor tunately it was Mankato State," said Oregon coach Ron Finley. "We don’t like to get beat, we don’t plan on it. We just plain don’t like it.” Four Oregon wrestlers recorded pins as Oregon raised its season record to 17-2. Dan Cook, Jeff Steubing and Ryan Kelly pinned their opponents in the first period, while Rick O’Shea earned his at the 4:24 mark. The loss to Iowa State Tues day wasn’t as bad as it seems, considering the Cyclones had seven nationally ranked wres tlers — three ranked number one. "We didn’t wrestle that badly against Iowa State, it’s just that our best people were matched up against their best people. Unfortunately their best people were ranked number one." Fin ley said. The Ducks finished their Mid west road trip with a 3-1 recond.
