"Gay Pride Day has been set aside as the time we honor our accomplishments and reflect upon our progress, says Carl Goodman, executive director of the Portland Town Council Portland's celebration will begin at noon at the Pioneer Courthouse, on the corner of S W 5th and Morrison streets, where lesbians, gay men and their heterosexual supporters will gather for a march from the courthouse to the north end of Waterfront Park, across from Portland s Saturday Market After the parade has arrived a rally, “intended as an oppor tunity for people to embarass their homosexual brethren." is scheduled Rep Gretchen Kafoury.
