IFC hearings approve goals for 7 groups The Incidental Fee Committee approved goals for seven groups during its fourth session of budget hearings Thursday night. The Campus Residents’ Or ganization, Drug Information Center, ASUO Executive, Crisis Center, Condon Society, Gay People’s Alliance and Beta Alpha Psi each gained IFC approval. Campus Residents’ Organiza tion listed research and informa tion on resident issues and advo cation for resident concerns as their main goals. Although the Drug Information Center’s goal to prevent drug abuse among University students was approved, actual funding of the program may not pass as eas ily next spring. “There are goals where we say ‘yeah we’d like that,’ ” said Dusty Rhodes, IFC member. "But when it gets to the money amount, we have to say ‘sorry, there just isn’t enough bucks.’ ” The Condon Society’s goals in clude continuation of field trips and speakers not available through the geology department. “Our field trips provide students with a more extensive look at geological happenings,” said Heidi Imhof, a member of the club. The Crisis Center’s goal is to provide students with crisis coun seling from 5 p.m. to8 a.m. week days and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during weekends.
