Veggy potluck set today Members of a Search class called ‘Natural Diet for Humans: Veg etarianism,” will have a vegetarian potluck outing on the lawn between Villard Hall and Lawrence Hall today at 11:30. The class stresses a reduction of sugar, oils, refined processed foods, concentrated substances and meat. Fifty students will partake of pineapple green drink, macaroni and cashew cheese casserole, three-bean salad, cucumber slices with green pepper, alfalfa sprouts, a variety of breads and Polynesian bars. John won’t do his recital The music school announces two concerts scheduled at Beall Concert Hall. Dana Towle, a composition student, will give her senior degree recital today at 12:30 at Beall Concert Hall. The University Chamber Choir will give a performance Saturday at 8 p.m. John McManus’ clarinet recital for Friday has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled. ...ct al Master’s thesis concert slated A master’s thesis dance concert by Joan Lazarus, will be given Fri day and Saturday at 8 p.m. at 354 Gerlinger Annex. The concert is sponsored by the Department of Dance, and admis sion is free. Art professor to talk on heads “The Facing Head in Archaic and Classical Greek Art" will be discussed by Patricia Erhart, visit ing assistant professor of art his tory, today at 3:30 in 107 Law rence. The Cultural Arts Neighborhood Art program of the Eugene Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a spinning workshop Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West University Neighborhood Center, 1458 Ferry St. Participants will learn to identify a variety of fibers and their various properties with particular emphasis on wool. Fleece types, sorting, teasing, carding and combing methods will be discussed. Novelty yarn techniques such as blending and slub will also be demonstrated. Christian jocks hold breakfast The University’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold an NCAA Prayer Break fast Friday for athletes, coaches and media involved in the NCAA Track Championships Thursday through Saturday at Hayward Field. The breakfast, which will run from 7:30 to8:45 a.m., willfeature a full buffet breakfast. Neil Steinhauer, a former shot-put standout for the University, will de liver a talk after the breakfast.
