Mom’s club to hold champagne brunch The University Mother’s Club will sponsor a no-host strawberry/champagne brunch from 10 to noon Saturday to pres ent awards and gifts totaling $13,000. The Koyle Cup, Gerlinger Cup, Maunce Harold Hunter Memorial Scholarship and the Senior Women’s Award will be among awards presented. Tickets for the brunch are $3.50 and may be purchased at the door. The Mother’s Club will no longer be selling cookbooks. Union session tomorrow "Research in the Local Union” wi# be the focus of all-day workshop sessions to be offered at the University Saturday and again Saturday, June 3, by the State Labor Education and Research Center (LERC). Instructor for both sessions will be Paul Goldman, a University sociology professor who has served as a research consultant for sev eral labor union locals. Saturday’s workshop will center on how union officials can most effectively determine the attitudes and priorities of union members prior to management-labor negotiations, and the June 3 session — intended for persons who attended the May 3 session or a session held Feb. 25 in Eugene — will offer participants practical experience in developing research questionnaires. The workshops, to begin at 830 a.m. and continue until about 5 p.m., will be held at the EMU, room to be posted.
