Stanford, a professor of English at California State University, North ndge. is the author of six books of poetry. Stanford will also lecture on “The Landscape of Poetry,” Tuesday at 4 p.m. in 146 Straub. Expert to talk on American economy tonight The End of the American Em pire: Underlying Causes and Wiat Ues Ahead” will be pre sented tonight at 8 in the EMU, room to be posted. American Economist Edward Boorstein will lecture, as spon sored by the May Day Cultural Committee and the EMU Cultural Forum. Boorstein has worked for the Federal Reserve Board, for the post World War Two U.S. military government in Germany and more recently, for Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Commerce. In Chile, he was an assistant to President AJIendes economic advisor, for many months prior to the coup in 1973. African priest speaks tonight The Rev. Edward Wilson, an Anglican priest from Uganda, Af rica, will speak at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 3925 Hilyard St., at 8 tonight. Wilson will talk about his native Uganda and will show films about conditions there at the present time. He is touring the United States to acquaint Americans with conditions in Uganda.
