and most beautiful: the high-speed incantations of

Ka/ka's novel. Anthony Perkins plays Joseph K, a
man in a nameless country arrested for a crime that

recorded two albums for ABC Records. His latest effort is entitled "Meet Me At The Crux," which Dirk says is

“The Bronze Age Civilization on the Island of
Thera" illustrated lecture by Spyros lakovidis. Free.
8 p.m. 123 Science. At about 1500 B.C., a violent
volcanic eruption occurred on the island of Thera in
the Aegean Sea. At this time, just as in the case of
Pompeii and the other Roman towns around Mt.
Vesuvius, the entire Bronze Age settlement on
Thera was buried by volcanic ash. Prof, lakovidis,
one of the world's leading Bronze Age ar
chaeologists, promises to give in his lecture "a
survey of the research done on Thera, of the civiliza
tion uncovered there, and of the answers the exca
vation provides to some of the questions related to
the Aegean in the Bronze Age."

Watercolors and Sandcastings by Dorothy
DeYoung. Galery West, 1597 Oak. The sandcast
ings are bas relef sculptures created in wet sand.
After the sculpture is finished, plaster or cement is
poured. Her sardcastings are usually of waterfowl,
birds and owls, and their surrounding habitat.
About her watercolors, DeYoung says, "They are a
result of a need for a spontaneous expression for
the bird forms. Texture and feeling are a concern."
