Rush sign-ups close today
The Interfratemity Council is sponsoring a structured informal rush
Monday through Wednesday for University men and the registration

Youth detention
choices viewed
Alternatives to confining
Eugene juveniles in detention
centers, such as Skipworth
Juvenile Home, will be considered
by the Eugene Commission on the
Rights of Youth.
At the commission meeting ear
lier this week, members decided
to devote the next month to look
ing at other alternatives. Members
were organized into subcommit
tees to examine other options.
Tne commission will consider
the use or expansion of alternate
facilities such as Looking Glass
Family Crisis Intervention Center,
the Christian Family Institute and
youth group homes.
Commission Chairer Don
Chalmers said the entire commis
sion will visit Skipworth. He said
the visit would not be an “investi
gation,” but rather an attempt to
gather information about deten
