Transition IFC allocates $160 to Women in Wednesday evening the Inci dental Fee Committee (IFC) allo cated $160 to Women in Transi tion, a program for “non traditional women” students. Women in Transition is now an ASUO recognized group, but not an officially funded group. How ever, the program is submitting a budget to the IFC this term for funding next year. Until Wednesday, the pro gram used its member’s resources to operate. IFC chairer Doug Benson says the $160 will cover "basic administrative expenses.' The group was organized for "women ages about 23 to 65, usually returning students, to help them or give them feedback,” Connelly says. Most University activities and programs are di rected toward the younger student, and the support group helps older women students not “feel all alone," he says. Next Wednesday will be the last weekly IFC meeting. The commit tee then begins ASUO program budget hearings. Any ASUO pro gram needing funds should con tact the IFC soon. After the Feb. 1 meeting, no requests for unallo cated funds will be heard. In a story in Wednesday’s Emerald, the vote on the Women's Symposium funding was incorrect. The vote was 6 to 2 in favor of funding with Benson and Scott Bassett casting the dis senting votes. My Life and Times (an unfinished epoch novel): At this point the author leaves off. There has been much specu lation as to what he intended to do with the remaining 10,000 pages. One critic points to the absence of Gildenstern and Rosencrantz, who were reportedly in the vicinity checking parking meters at the time of writing, as evidence of a deeper plot. Still others declare the author intended the work as an indictment of existentialist society with altruistic, metaphysical impli cations. We find little evidence to support this claim. A close look at the author’s working notes for the epoch gives us an understanding of his true intentions: As we can see. the author in tended to have a series of superimposed subplots, with a couple of conflicts and foils thrown in for fun. The personalities of Natasha, Draubetzkey, Andrey. Kutusou and the frog were to slowly unfold throughout the book. One theory held that Natasha and Draubetzkey, the idealists of the book, were in fact coffee stains. This theory was disproved by chemical analyisis.
