Greek paper censored ATHENS (UPI) — A major Greek newspaper, which carried an editorial mildly critical of the new military-backed regime, was closed down Sunday despite repeated government assurances that censorship had been lifted. Newspaper sources said Athens’ con servatively-oriented afternoon Daily Vrathyni was padlocked about midnight Saturday by men in civilian clothes, ac companied by four locksmiths. The men said they were acting on orders of “The Chief’’ but failed to identify him and gave no reason for the lockup. The final editions of the newspaper carried a front page editorial mildly critical of the new regime’s first policy statement. Since ousting Papadopoulos Nov. 25, regime officials said "censorship has been abolished throughout the country.” But the military officers twice have summoned publishers to iniorm mem wnat was ex pected. Since the last publishers’ meeting Thursday, Greek newspapers have carried no domestic economic or political stories except (hose repeating official announcements. The program would cover doctor bills, hospital costs, prescription drugs, family planning services, dental care for children up to 13-year-old and a wide variety of other services. Fighting continues in Golan Heights GOLAN HEIGHTS—Israeli and Syrian tanks and ar tillery dueled for more than four hours along the Golan Heights Sunday in the heaviest outbreak of fighting on the northern front since the 39-day-old cease-fire went into effect. South Korea shuffles cabinet SEOUL — South Korean President Park Chung-hee replaced 10 cabinet ministers and the director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency Monday in a sweeping reshuffle of his government. Park kept Premier Kim Jong-pil and nine other cabinet members in their posts when he announced the shakeup about an hour after all ministers sent in their resignations Culture and Information Minister Yun Ju young said Kim and the cabinet, of which he is the head, held an emergency session this morning and decided to resign. The cabinet submitted its resignation later to Park. “The cabinet has decided to resign en masse to take the respon sibility for a series of incidents which occurred in the country recently,” Yun said Oil companies to face antitrust actions NEW YORK—State Attorney General Louis Lefkowitz announced Sunday anti-trust proceedings have been filed against seven oil companies which allegedly engaged in an “illegal understanding and arrangement” to eliminate price competition in the New York area. Named as defendants in the New York Supreme Court suit were Shell Oil Co , Exxon Corp., Gulf Oil Corp., Sun Oil Co., American Oil Co., Texaco, Inc., and Mobil Oil Corp. Lefkowitz said the complaint charges the firms refrained from competing amongst themselves in areas where there was no competition from independent companies and granted rebates to some of their dealers but not all, while maintaining high “official” wholesale prices. Puerto Ricans march for independence SAN JUAN, P.R.—An estimated 15,000 supporters of Puerto Rico's independence from the United States marched through San Juan's tourist sector Sunday to protest the arrival here of mayors, city councilmen and other U.S. city officials for a four-day convention The demonstration, which appeared more like a U.S. pre-Christmas parade, apparently was seen by few of the 6,000 expected delegates to the National League of Cities' annual Congress of Cities.
