Honoraries invited to meeting Druids, the University’s junior men’s honorary, will host a meeting for Friars and other University honoraries beginning at 3:30 .p.m today. This meeting will take place at the Sigma Nu bouse, 763 East 11th St Druids, which carries on the beneficial work initiated by be original Ancient Order of Druids in London, England, in 1781, will be tapping new members at this event. A beverage will be served at the meeting Gay panel, poetry, dance planned Gay Pride Week ’73, sponsored by Eugene Gay People’s Alliance <GPA> and the Cultural Forum, will wind up its week of activities oday and tomorrow with a gay life-style panel, poetry reading, and dance Saturday night. “This afternoon at 2:30 p.m in the EMU Dad’s Room, we'll be having a gay life-styles panel,” said Randy Shilts, gay activist and Incidental Fee Committee Chairer “Carl Whitman, an early gay activist and author of the landmark paper Refugees From America: A Gay Manifesto, will discuss gay communal hving from his experience in living in a gay commune in Southern Oregon Jim Hood, who organized and spear-headed the gay rights bill drive in Eugene, will discuss the basic gay political issues For people who do not know the basics of gay liberation the panel will be invaluable ” Shilts will moderate the panel Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. GPA will sponsor a Walt Whitman poetry reading Other gay poetry will be read at the event in the Dad s Room. Shilts said River recreation films to be shown Four films about river recreation will be shown today at 3 30 p.m in the AY Department's Studio C. The movies are being sponsored by the University class. Recreation and Natural Resources The schedule for the films is “Wild Rivers” at 3:30 p.m.; “Rogue River Country" at 4 p.m ; “Adventure Rivers" at 4:30 p.m and Skiing the Colorado at 5 p.m. Specialized compostion sections open Students majoring in the social sciences and in pre-law. planning to take Wr 323 Winter Quarter, 1974. may pre-register now in 118 PLC for special sections of Wr 323 dealing with these subjects The social science sections, taught by Craig Lindsay, are scheduled at 8:30 and 10:30. Tuesday and Thursday. The pre-law section, taught by Constance Bourdwell, will meet at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday. Another section of Wr. 323 will be taught on a tutorial basis and is open to any interested student. After the opening meeting, this class will consist entirely of individual sessions between the student and the instructor, Mark Piper. Students must have junior standing to take Wr. 323.
