Our selection this week is from Louis
Martini’s Zinfandel vineyards in
California. This particular grape is grown
only in California, and makes an
easygoing wine that -is excellent with
barbeques, steaks, or roasts. It is a
medium bodied red wine, fairly dry, with a
charming, zestful flavor of its own.
Martini makes one of the best Zinfandels
in this price range, and with our discount,
this is a superb value.

Jews against fascism correct story
Members of the Jews Against Fascism told the Emerald Thursday
their press release at a Tuesday press conference stated support for
the “Arab peoples” in the Arab-Israeli War. The Emerald reported
the group was expressing support for “Arab countries.”
JAF members also said the press release did not indicate support
for the recent Arab kidnapping of four Austrian persons although they
felt that the closing down of the Austrian immigration camp for
Russian Jews was a good thing. The Emerald reporter said she
received the information indicating support which appeared in a story
on page 15 of Wednesday’s Emerald when she asked if they condoned
the recent kidnapping and received a reply in the affirmative.
If this answer reflected only the opinion an individual in the group
and not the JAF the Emerald regrets any inconvenience it may have
caused the group members.
