He will also provide general information and referrals on all medical-related Army scholarships such as those in physical therapy and nursing. He will be at the Army ROTC building, 1761 Alder St. from 9-n a m on Thursday. All interested persons unable to meet with the representative at that time, who could meet with him Wednesday evening should contact Colonel Burr, extension 3102, before noon today. Peace group meeting slated The Eugene Peace Action Committee (EPAC) will meet tonight at 8 p.m at the Newman Center, 1850 Emerald St., to discuss plans for future anti-war activities. EPAC calls itself a loose coalition of anti-war, anti-imperialist organizations. It is working on the defense of Ngo Chi Thien, a Viet namese sailor resisting deportation to South Vietnam, medical aid to Indochina, dissemination of information and other related activities. EPAC is also planning a demonstration to protest “the continuing police state and imprisonment of 200,000 political prisoners in South Vietnam,” says EPAC representative John Lanier. The demon stration will take place in mid-November in coordination with similar demonstrations being planned in cities across the country. Noon organ recitals return The Tuesday noon organ recitals return this fall at the School of Music Performing today will be veteran Randolph Bourne, playing works by Francois Couperin and Johann Sebastian Bach. James Horwath, new master’s candidate and graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, will play works by Dietrich Buxtehude and Bach. Admission is free and the recitals take place at 12:30 every Tuesday at the School of Music Recital Hall. Gay People’s Alliance to sponsor potluck The Gay People’s Alliance will sponsor a pot-luck dinner tonight at 7 p.m. at 1236 Kincaid. Thi dinner will precede the regular 8 p.m. meeting and is part of the “Gay Coming Out Week” series of events. Women in Communications to meet The student chapter of Women in Communications will meet from 11:30a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today in the EMU with the professional chapter of the group. The room will be posted. Plans for the year will be discussed, as well as the Women in Communications national convention to be held in Portland starting Thursday and ending next Monday. Those needing transportation can make arrangements at today’s meeting. Women in Communications is an organization for professional and student women in journalism, advertising, public relations, and broadcasting. Referendum figures wrong A story in Monday’s Emerald incorrectly reported that 36,000 valid signatures were needed in a referendum petition drive to refer HB 2263, the public employees’ collective bargaining bill, back to the people.
