One of the dates. July 28, is on a Saturday. This allows those with summer jobs to participate in the program. Parents have been invited to accompany their sons or daughters and participate in a special parents' program. Robert Bowlin, dean of Student Personnel Services at the University, reports that some 1,300 prospective freshmen have signed up for the six sessions and that approximately 1,000 parents have indicated that they will participate in the parents’ sessions Former dean named co-ordinator Arthur Esslinger. professor emeritus and former dean of the University College of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, has been appointed professor of physical education and acting graduate coordinator at the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, N.Y., for the 1973-74 academic year. Funding won’t affect summer ticket prices Ticket prices for students at this summer’s Carnival Theater are not being affected by a lack of subsidy from the ASUO, according to Ruey Thomas, business manager of the University Theater. Thomas said that the University Theater’s contract with the ASUO runs from September to September and that the present con tract runs through the summer. Therefore, the price for student tickets this summer is not being affected. There is a possibility, however, that student ticket prices for University Theater productions may change in the fall. | Community Air pollution complaint line installed The Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority announces the in stallation of a 24-hour complaint line to serve the people of Lane County. Hie number to call is 689-1732 Many people find it nearly impossible to reach the Authority on regular office phones during peak pollution periods. This special line is designed to serve these people, giving them a place to register their complaints during these periods or any time after regular office hours. Every morning the recorded complaints will be transferred to regular complaint forms. Each complaint is then dealt with according to its nature. All field buring complaints are forwarded to the State DEQ Office which is the official agency for the regulation of field burning. All other complaints are dealt with by the Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority’s Field Inspectors.
