I he Oregon Scholastic Press, the organization of Oregon high school journalism teachers and advisers, makes three $200 scholarships available to en tering freshmen who plan to major in journalism. Selected for these scholarships are Pamela Berry and Thomas Fluharty, both of Portland, and Lora Cuykendall of West Albany. The best terminal project by a graduate student wins the T. Neal Taylor Award. The 1973 winner is Sheryl Horn of Beaverton, whose project was a complete ad vertising presentation for Meier & Frank’s junior miss market. The best paper by a foreign student wins for its author the Harpham Award. This year’s winner is Arne Kvalheim of Oslo, Norway, who wrote a master’s thesis on governmental in fluences on the press in Norway. The late Warren C. Price, long time faculty member of the Journalism School, is honored each year with the presentation of the Warren C. Price History Award. Embert Fossum, Eugene, won the prize this year with his study of reporters and reporting in the Indian wars in Oregon. Three journalism students were honored for their out standing scholarship. Cheryl Beshears of Eugene and Roxann Miller of Missoula, Montana were named recipients of the Hillsboro Argus Emma McKinney Award and Richard Sept of Eugene won the William G. Gurney Memorial Award.
