Mvciw ra nji [ On Campus Winter registration printouts available Winter registration printouts may be obtained between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m today and Monday in the EMU, according to Assistant Registrar Dorothy Brown. The printouts are made available by the Registrar’s Office, and include cr:ch class, term line numbers, credits and grade options. Students should pick up the free printouts to avoid any kind of misunderstanding concerning class registration and grade options, and to correct any errors made in their registration. In case of error, contact the Registrar’s Office. EMU displays religious art exhibit A collection of art characterizing the religions of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece and Rome is now on display in the gallery of the EMU The exhibit, which continues through Feb. 4, consists of painting, sculpture and needlework made by students in classes of Jack Sanders and Alan Stephenson, both of the department of religious studies. Student Union bills Irish folk singer Irish balladeer and folk singer Sean Slattery will appear in con cert at 8 p.m. Saturday in the EMU ballroom. His performance is sponsored by the Lane County Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Slattery is a contempory singer similar in style to Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot, according to Veterans’ co-chairman Greg Howard. Slattery, who is head of the Portland chapter of the Irish Republican Army, went to Washington, D.C. last April to participate in Operation Dewey Canyon III, at which more than 1,000 veterans turned in their combat medals. Admission is 50 cents. | Community * Lane Democrats schedule convention Lane County Democrats will meet Saturday to devise a county wide platform The Democrats will start their two-day convention today with a banquet featuring State Senator Ted Hallock, a Portland Democrat and the Senate majority leader in the state legislature. The Saturday debates, which begin at 9 a.m. at Harris Hall, will include consumer affairs; labor, industry and agriculture; fiscal affairs; and environment. The afternoon session debates will include foreign affairs; urban renewal and housing; health and welfare; and education. All registered democrats 18 and over, who pay the $1 registration fee, are eligible to vote on the platform. The convention is open to the public. OSPIRG hearing postponed The OSPIRG hearing scheduled Thursday has been postponed until next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. It will be held in the Eugene City Council chamber. Republicans slate Dellenback talk U S. Congressman John Dellenback (R-Ore.) will speak at a dinner at 7 p.m. tonight in the King Cole Room of the Eugene Hotel. The dinner is being sponsored by the Lane County Republican Central Committee for the purpose of having local Republicans meet (heir congressman. Dellenback will speak on the subject of “One Man’s View of the Sovi' t Union.” Admission is $2 for students and $3 for adults Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Eugene Hotel or at the door tonight. First Amendment rights topic of program KZEL-FM s “Magazine of the Air" at noon Sunday will feature discussions of the First Amendment rights of the press. Included will be a look at the Augur, an alternative community newspaper. Dean Rea, instructor in press law at the University's School of Journalism, will be interviewed Also included in this week's “magazine" will be a review of the movie.
