LC professor to lecture today The University sociology department is sponsoring a free public lecture by William Domhoff at 8 p.m. today in 150 Science. The talk is titled “Fat Cat* and Democrats.” Domhoff, author of “Who Rules America?” and “Highest Cir cles,” is on the faculty of the University of California at Santa Cruz Time schedules to come out Dec. 15 Winter term time schedules will be available to students Wed nesday, Dec. 15, in the Registrar’s Office, Emerald Hall Former student body president dies A former president of the University student body and the University Alumni Association died Monday of a heart attack. Maj. Gen Lamar Tooze died in his Portland law office. He was 76. Tooze, a veteran of two world wars and a prominent Portland civic and political leader, was student body president in 1917 and alumni president in 1966-67. Co-op Board to meet today A regular meeting of the Co-op Board will be held todav at 5 d m in the EMU. Other motions to be discussed are on establishing a committee to study militarism, a motion to place faculty on civil service and a motion to change to the semester system. University President Robert Clark will also speak about the University’s present “state of financial emergency,” explaining possibilities of how this year’s $440,000 budget deficit and the 1972-73 $1,210,633 budget deficit can be made up. Clark met with the newly formed Committee on the Financial Emergency Monday night to explain the financial “emergency” to the 38-member group. ( Community Multipurpose ice rink to be constructed Construction is to begin in January for a proposed ice skating rink, located approximately 3.5 miles from campus. According to Douglas Martin, an officer from the General Ice Skating Carp, which will be leasing from the Kreikis Construction Co., the rink will have multipurpose uses. Hockey and figure skating programs will be offered as well as ice shows and professional hockey Negotiations are under way with the Ringling Bros. Circus for a performance on the facility.
