The bill, to be presented at the state legislature early next week, calls for restrictions on the sale of dynamite to the public, including the requirement of a license. The Senate gave its unanimous support to the bill in hopes that the State legislators would see that University students do not want their school destroyed and that only a small minority want to express their opinions through violence. Winter term’s ASUO Senate election dates were also deter mined at the meeting. The deadline for filing petitions for office is February 11-12, primary elections will be Feb. 18-19 and the general elections will be Feb. 25-26. In Ron Eachus’ executive report, he explained that the student-faculty ad hoc committee of the University governance committee needs two student members to replace members who recently resigned. The Senate also appointed three members to the recently formed Legislative Task Force. The appointees include Stephanie Larsen, Wally McCormick and Terry Grant.
