Briefs Announcements for Campus Briefs must be turned in by 3 p.m. the day before publication. Because of space limitations no announcements will be run more than twice. Meetings The ASUO Governing Committee will meet at 3 p.m. today in the EMU. Questions concerning the Oregon State System of Higher Education will be answered at a meeting today, 4:30 and 7, in 180 PLC. The sophomore class council will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the EMU. All interested sophomores are invited to attend. A mandatory Canoe Fete Steering Committee meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the EMU. The University Young Democrats will hold their weekly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the EMU. A meeting for all students taking the Oregon State System of Higher Education charter flights to Europe this summer will be held at 4:30 and 7 p.m. today in 180 PLC. Speakers Regis Kelly cf the Department of Neurobiology of Harvard Medical School will speak in the “Acetylichol inesterase in the Neuromuscular Junc tion” at 3:30 p.m. today in 123 Sci. Michael Tanner of Cambridge Uni versity will present a lecture on Aes thetics at 10:30 a.m. today in the EMU. Films, Concerts A jazz concert by the University Jazz Ensemble will be held at 8 p.m. tonight in the School of Music Re cital Hall. Admission is free. Miscellaneous The International Education Center has information on a program for the Master of Arts in teaching English as a second language.
