Support Black Power... because ol the perverse atmosphere caused by the social diesase of White racism, black people are unable to communicate with each other because many are still playing the role of ‘-parrot;’ while still others are engaging in empty rhetoric. The type of rhetoric that we speak of is designed to gather crowds, to indulge in revo lutionary phrase mongering void of content or program. The Black community, we strongly suggest, cannot afford to further engage in such “luxuries.” We are quite simply in a fight for physical as well as spiritual survival and such a struggle does not allow for game playing. Our country has the potential for being the richest country on the face of the globe. By richest, we mean in the broadest sense of that term—economically, politely and socially strong. And yet, vital human resources, i.e., human talents, are being criminally wasted because of While racism. Quite literally then. Black Power is in the interest of White as well as Black Americans because it genuinely frees both. Briefs Announcements for Campus Briefs must be turned in by 3 p.m. the day before publication.
