The committee recommended spending $50 from University President Arthur S. Flemming's incidental fees reserve to help set up the office of Minority Group Advisor. ASUO Vice-president Dan Al lison explained the office would deal with such things as special education problems of minority group students, community action programs and training of dormi tory counselors. “It’s not just for Negroes,” Allison said as he explained that all minority group students are included in the office’s con cern. After July 1, the office will be funded by the ASUO Research and Development Fund. A bill to create more knowl edge of how incidental fees are spent was also passed at the meeting. It would require that incidental fees budget re quests be made on a standard form and sent to the committee with explanation of the requests. The bill would require that the committee have access to all financial records of the groups presenting requests. Groups re questing funds would have to submit a monthly summary of expenses and income. In other action, the commit tee recommended that seven students be appointed to ad minister a financial aids fund which the Senate has proposed would come from campus vend ing machine profits.
