One picture shows him with his eyes closed, and the other with open eyes drawn in by an FBI artist. V. A. Bass, night manager of Linden Lodge in Memphis, said the FBI picture “strongly re sembled” a man who stayed at the lodge from April 3 through April 5. He said however that the man's hair was thinner and lighter in color. Bass said the man, who claim ed to be a riverboat cook, made 10 local calls and four long dis tance calls, one to the Ingals shipyards in St. Louis. The poster, similar to those issued by the bureau for its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives,” is signed by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. It urges anyone having infor mation on Galt to notify Hoov er or contact the local FBI office.
